I obtained my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas in marine and freshwater science but quickly learned I have a passion for biogeochemistry when I worked as a lab technician at the UT Marine Science Institution. I am broadly trained in analytical chemistry, having experience working with instruments such as GC-FID, EA-IRMS, spectrophotometry, and ICP-MS. I will be pursuing my M.S. at VIMS on a project that measures trace elements to follow the movement of water masses from the Arctic into the Labrador Sea. Outside of science, I enjoy reading and writing, cooking and trying new foods, and exploring new areas.
